Legal information
Terms and conditions
These terms govern the use of InduFreelance. By activating a profile, you accept them.
Last updated: 22 September 2026
1. Who provides the service
- Owner: Surf Engineering, S.L.
- Trade name: InduFreelance (indufreelance.com)
- CIF (tax ID): B64217631
- Registered address: C/ Portugal 29, local 1, 08027 Barcelona (Spain)
- Contact email: comunicacion@surfensl.com
InduFreelance is a platform of the InduChain ecosystem. It is owned by Surf Engineering, S.L.
2. Purpose and intended users
InduFreelance connects companies in the industrial sector with self-employed professional technicians: maintenance, automation, machining, quality and related specialities.
The service is for professional use. To use it you must be of legal age and, if you act on behalf of a company, have the authority to represent it.
What InduFreelance offers is a place to meet and the tools to show who you are and what you have done. Any professional relationships that arise from it belong to those who agree them.
3. Terms used here
- Account: the InduChain ecosystem identity used to sign in. InduFreelance does not issue its own credentials.
- Profile: an Account's presence on InduFreelance. It can be a freelance technician profile or a company profile.
- Professional profile: the technical profile, work history, qualifications, portfolio and CV. It belongs to the InduChain ecosystem, not to InduFreelance (section 5).
- Work experience: a position declared by its holder, with the company or workplace where it was held.
- Verification: confirmation of a work experience by the company where it took place.
- Collaboration: work that a company and a technician agree between themselves and record on the platform.
4. Registration, Account and profiles
You sign in with an InduChain ecosystem Account. Each Account must belong to a real natural person, who is responsible for everything done with it, including its credentials.
A single Account may have several active profiles on InduFreelance, up to the limit shown by the application when activating them. The information provided must be truthful and kept up to date.
Activating a company profile requires authority to represent that company, checked in the Ecosystem. InduFreelance may request additional checks.
5. Your professional profile is yours and lives in the Ecosystem
Your technical profile, work experience, qualifications, portfolio and CV do not belong to InduFreelance: they form a professional profile in the InduChain ecosystem, linked to your Account. InduFreelance uses it because you activate it here.
- If you already have a professional profile in the ecosystem when you activate InduFreelance, you are shown what it contains and you choose: use it, start a new one or not do it now. Nothing is shared without that step.
- If you use another product in the ecosystem in the future, you will be asked again there. Your profile does not travel on its own.
- When you close your profile on InduFreelance, InduFreelance no longer has access to your professional profile. If another product uses it, it remains yours there (section 16).
6. What InduFreelance does and does not do
InduFreelance is a technology intermediary: it helps companies find technicians and helps both sides communicate.
InduFreelance is not a party to the professional relationship between a company and a technician. It is not an employer, a temporary employment agency, a recruitment agency or a hiring intermediary: it does not negotiate prices, hire, invoice on anyone's behalf or guarantee that any work is carried out, delivered or paid for. The terms, the contract, taxes and compliance are the responsibility of those who agree the work.
7. What you publish, and its accuracy
Each user is responsible for what they publish: technical profile, work experience, qualifications, portfolio, company profile and messages. InduFreelance does not systematically review that content.
Do not publish third-party confidential information or material covered by confidentiality agreements without permission. If you upload a project done for a client, make sure you are allowed to show it, and use private visibility when in doubt.
8. Work experience verification
A declared work experience can be sent to the company where it took place for confirmation. What the platform shows is the fact that the company confirmed it; it is not an endorsement by InduFreelance of the quality of the work.
- The company may confirm it or not. There is no public negative status: an unconfirmed work experience looks exactly the same as one that was never sent.
- If it is not confirmed, the holder may appeal once, and the answer to that appeal is final.
- Editing the substance of an already verified work experience removes the verification: what was confirmed was the original, not the new version.
- Verifications are statements made by the company that answered them and are kept even if the holder closes their profile (section 16).
Whoever answers on behalf of a company declares that they have the authority to do so. False confirmations, or systematically denying genuine work experience, may lead to suspension of the profile.
9. Portfolio and shared links
Portfolio projects can be public or private. For private ones, you can generate links that expire or have a maximum number of views.
A link is a key: whoever receives it can forward it. The platform limits its use and lets you revoke it, but that is not the same as a confidentiality agreement. If you need confidentiality, agree it in writing with the other party.
10. Your CV and your named address
You can generate a CV from your technical profile, choose which parts are shown and share it by link or publish it at an address with your name, such as indufreelance.com/your-name.
- Publishing it is your decision, and you can unpublish it whenever you like. While it is published, anyone who knows the address can see it.
- CV pages are served with instructions telling search engines not to index them, but that does not stop anyone from copying or forwarding the link.
- The address can be changed a limited number of times per month —currently twice every 30 days— so that a shared link does not keep breaking. When you change it, the previous address no longer leads to your CV.
- Your CV is built from your technical profile: when you update it, what you have already shared is updated too.
11. Search, contact and messaging
Companies search by category, area, skills and availability. The order of results is decided by the search engine using product criteria (match, availability and verified work history), and may change.
Contact starts with a collaboration request that the technician accepts or declines. Direct contact details (phone, email, website) are only shared if their owner decides to share them in the conversation.
Unsolicited bulk messages, harassment, impersonation and using messaging to offer products unrelated to the purpose of the platform are prohibited.
Your profile may be shown on the public pages for your trade and in the technician explorer, which anyone can see without signing up and which search engines index. Your name, your photo and what describes your work go there — trade, headline, skills, area, reach, verified experience and availability — so that a company can find you. Never your contact details: phone, email and website are not published; they are shared inside a conversation and only if you decide to.
Profiles with more visits and more contacts are shown first, and profiles of people who are not available at that moment also appear, with their status visible. If you do not want to appear this way, you can turn it off at any time in the Privacy Centre: you stop showing on those pages — card and photo — and registered companies still find you in their search.
12. Collaborations, reputation and community
Collaborations recorded on the platform reflect an agreement between the parties. They serve as a record and feed the network of colleagues and reputation; they are not a contract between those parties or a contract with InduFreelance.
Ratings and reputation signals must reflect genuine experiences. Community spaces are subject to the community guidelines published there; moderators may remove content that breaches them.
13. Paid plans
Use of the platform is free for technicians. Companies can subscribe to plans that extend what they can see and do; the terms and price of each plan are shown before subscribing.
InduFreelance may change plan features. If a change substantially affects a subscribed plan, reasonable advance notice will be given.
Prices and VAT. Prices shown are per company, per month or per year, excluding VAT; yearly billing equals ten monthly payments (two months free). The applicable VAT is added when you are charged, itemised before you pay and on the invoice. A price change never affects a period already paid for; it applies from the next renewal and is announced beforehand.
Charging and invoicing. Payment is monthly or yearly, depending on the billing you choose, and always in advance, and is handled by Stripe: InduFreelance never sees or stores your card details. Every charge generates its invoice, which you receive by email and can download at any time.
Renewal and cancellation. The plan renews itself every month or every year, depending on your billing, on the same day you subscribed (or on the last day of the month, if that month is shorter), until you cancel it. You can switch between monthly and yearly billing from your company area. You can cancel whenever you want and without giving reasons, from your company area: there is no minimum term and no penalty. When you cancel you keep the plan until the end of the period you have already paid for, and when it ends you move to Free without losing anything of yours.
Refunds. Because the plan is kept until the end of the paid period, cancelling does not trigger a refund of the current period or previous ones, and periods are not refunded for not having used the platform. With two exceptions, and in both we refund: a charge that should not have happened — duplicated, after cancelling, or for a plan you did not contract — and a failure on our side that left you without the service for a relevant part of the period. In both cases the refund is full and through the same payment method.
Fourteen days to change your mind. Even though this is business-to-business contracting, if you cancel within 14 calendar days of your first payment we refund that first payment in full. It applies once per company, to the first contract.
How to request it. Write to comunicacion@surfensl.com from the account's email address, stating which charge it is. We reply within 5 working days at most and, where applicable, the refund is issued within the following 10 days; how long it takes to reach your bank depends on your bank.
If a payment fails. It is retried and you are notified. For 3 days you keep your plan; if it still cannot be charged after that, the account moves to Free. Nothing is lost: your data, saved profiles and conversations remain, and become available again when the plan is reactivated.
14. Content and intellectual property
You keep all rights to what you publish. By publishing it, you grant InduFreelance a free, non-exclusive and limited licence to store and display it on the platform and in whatever you decide to share (your CV, your links), for the sole purpose of providing you with the service. The licence ends when you remove the content, except for anything that must be kept under section 16.
The software, design, brand and InduFreelance's own content belong to Surf Engineering, S.L., and it is not permitted to reproduce them, systematically extract data from the platform or use automated means to collect profiles.
15. Conduct, suspension and cancellation
InduFreelance may restrict, suspend or cancel a profile in the event of:
- breach of these terms or of the law;
- false information, impersonation or fraudulent verifications;
- conduct that harms other users or the platform;
- non-payment of a subscribed plan.
Whenever possible, notice will be given in advance and the reason explained.
16. Closing your profile: what is deleted and what is kept
You can close your profile whenever you like, from the Privacy Centre, and choose what happens to the data you declared.
- Deleted, if you ask: your technical profile, languages, skills, qualifications, portfolio with its files, photo and availability.
- Always kept: your work experience history, verifications already answered by companies and past conversations. They are not yours alone: they support facts and records of other people and companies. They can no longer be reached from your identity on the platform.
- Closing your profile on InduFreelance does not delete your InduChain ecosystem Account, and does not delete your professional profile if another product in the ecosystem is still using it with your permission.
Details of how your data is processed are in the Privacy policy.
17. Service availability
InduFreelance endeavours to keep the platform available and working properly, but does not guarantee uninterrupted service: there may be downtime for maintenance, updates or external causes. It may also add, change or remove features.
18. Liability
InduFreelance is responsible for providing the service with reasonable diligence and for fulfilling what it promises in these terms.
It is not responsible for professional relationships between users, the quality or outcome of work, payments between the parties, the accuracy of what each user publishes or the use a third party makes of a link its owner shared. Nothing in the above excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
19. Changes to these terms
These terms may change for legal reasons or as the platform evolves. The current version will always be on this page, with its date. If the change is significant, notice will be given by reasonable means; continuing to use the platform afterwards means accepting it.
20. Governing law and courts
These terms are governed by Spanish law. For any dispute, the parties submit to the Courts and Tribunals of Barcelona, unless the law requires another jurisdiction —for example, if the user acts as a consumer—.
For any questions about these terms: comunicacion@surfensl.com.
